We’re all searching for something.

We ask the same question - the one that is always nagging at us.  

It’s always there, in the background, waiting, whispering:

Why am I here?? What is the purpose of my life?

There isn’t only one answer to this question.

The answer is different for everyone. 

(It might even be “42,”…but probably not…?)

Our purposes in life are unique to ourselves, but we are not so vastly different that we can’t connect.

We are all human beings.

Homo sapiens sapiens.

Even if the only connection is our humanity, we have common ground with everyone on this planet.

The meaning of life may be different for each of us, but our biology is based in Nature.

We are all wild at heart.

We explore everything - even space! - but our biological roots lie right here, in the Earth.

Together, we form great civilizations and strive to learn how the universe works. 

After all these years and all of the technological advancements we have made as a species, the food we eat is still grown in (or on) the ground.

The water we drink is the same water our ancestors consumed.  

Yup, the very same. Cycles, baby!

Every person alive today is unique to this space and time, though.

You may be tiny with respect to the Earth - as our little blue dot of a planet is to the stars - but you are made of the same physical ingredients.  

Literally. We are physically made of stardust. (Ska-doosh! Mind Blown!)

So here we are, together, on this amazing planet - now what?

What you do with your life is up to you.  

Finding your identity and uncovering the meaning of it all? That’s the journey, bro.

And the journey is where it’s at!

 

JOURNEYING TOGETHER

So what are you on this tiny, stardust-life-covered planet to accomplish?

Is this question not what drives us all??

We are all on an identity journey.

We are all in a constant battle with our minds.

How we respond to our personal battles is what makes us who we are.

The way we choose to respond to stress, how we answer the call of opportunity - everything.  

We take the actions that we believe are right for us…or we don’t. And then we have to learn to live with that, no matter what we chose.

You have a unique life experience.  

You are the only one who has lived through your life - the only one who has been through each and every thing in the order, place, and time that you have.

But you aren’t the only one to experience the things you are going through.

Somewhere, sometime, someone else has been through what you are going through right now.

You aren’t alone in your life journey.

We are all in this together.

And we can learn from each other.

We can help each other, lift each other up, and be there for one another - even if what we have in common is a BOSS spray foam machine!

Nothing worth doing is easy, though.

Living sustainably is not just a scientific movement.

It’s also a mindset.

To sustain your body, you must eat.

To sustain your heart, you must treat yourself and others with love and kindness.

To sustain your mind, you must think and learn and explore and expand.

And you must be open to change to find sustainable fulfillment.

Change is the only constant in life, after all.

There are natural cycles, though, that can help connect our past, present, and future.

Seasons.

Moon phases.

Years, weeks, days.

How do you approach the constant changes of life, that constant push and pull with mortality?

Again, the answer is different for everyone - and your answers can (and will) change!

We believe in the power of connecting to Nature.

We all have roots in the Earth, even if some of us hate bugs or dirt or being sweaty.

Getting out of our comfort zones can help remind us that our problems aren’t everything.

When you put yourself in Nature and decide to pay attention, something always happens.

There is always wisdom to find when you are looking for it.

Nature is not clean, gentle, or kind all of the time.

It can be dirty and chaotic, even brutal.

But Nature is also beautiful - and absolutely real.

The honesty of the outdoors is profound. 

That sort of honesty demands honest self-reflection.

And the nature-based catalyst that helps you along your life’s path can be simpler than you think.

It could be anything.

A breeze blowing on your face, cool and refreshing.

Gazing into a campfire, crackling, warm, and illuminating.  

Looking up into the night sky, imagining your ancestors seeing what you see.

Meeting a huge tree and marveling at the age it must be. What it must have seen!

The ants have their purpose.

The cicadas have theirs.

And you have yours.

So let down your barriers.

See the world - and your life - as it IS, not as you want it to be.
